We arrived in the evening at our destination, Slocan. That's where Chris and Meghan live, along with Meadow and Kingsley. The have chickens and ducks, and an organic vegetable garden, and a totally laid back way of life. It was great to reconnect, especially after their visit to Winnipeg last month.
On Thursday, we took a trip by boat up Slocan Lake, where there are beaches like this one all along the shore. The kids tubed, and we roasted smokies over an open fire. It was a pretty sweet day.
After such a short visit, it was hard to leave.
Even harder for some of us than others...
